Scholarship 

What is the WORC Scholarship?

The purpose of the WORC Scholarship Program is to create and improve career mobility in the healthcare industry.

Career paths currently supported include: 

 

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

​

​

Community Health Worker (CHW)

​

​

 

Both courses are one semester long and serve as an entry point for careers in Nursing, Business, and/or Paramedicine.

​

Continuing Education Scholarship for LPN, RN, Paramedic to include up to $10,000.00

Who is Eligible?

Family and Social Worker

New Entrants to the workforce

High school seniors or individuals meeting HiSet requirements and individuals seeking community re-entry following incarceration.

Incumbent Workers

Individuals who are employed but need training to secure full-time employment, advance in their careers, or retain their current occupations.

Dislocated Workers

Individuals terminated, laid-off, or who have received a notice of termination or layoff from employment; or were self-employed but are now unemployed.

Residents of the following counties:

Iron County

Madison County

Perry County

Reynolds County

St. Francois County

Washington County
